Why isn’t this contract on my board?

Start with what is missing: no offer at all, an offer you cannot accept, or an accepted job that will not advance. Those three states call for different checks.

What to check

  1. Match the job by more than its title

Record the issuer, system or region, contract category and named prerequisite on your own screen. Two search results can share a title but use different employers or locations. Use SC-Toolbox’s mission search to investigate possible names; it cannot read your account.

  2. Look for an explicit refusal

Read your standing with the named issuer, any training or previous contract named by the offer, and the fee alongside your available balance. If a prerequisite is shown, record its exact text. If none is shown, word your note as “offer absent,” not “standing too low.”

  3. Try the smallest useful change

For a location mismatch, check the intended location. For a named training step, complete that step and reopen the same board. When there is no explanation, keep the last observation and set a time limit; do not grind unrelated jobs on a guess.

Worked example

Your wingmate sees a permit you don’t

Compare the issuer and region on both screens before comparing reputation. If one permit belongs to a different jurisdiction, the title match explains nothing about your standing. If the offer is shared, check your own acceptance state. A shared description does not establish personal qualification.

Proceed or hold

Proceed when
The exact offer is present and the conditions, targets and fee make sense for you.
Hold when
Only a database entry or another pilot's payout is visible. Do not pay a fee or engage an unidentified target to test a theory.
