Will this part work on my ship?

Take the part you want to replace as your starting point. A store can sell the correct item family while your ship still cannot use that particular part.

What to check

  1. Identify the mount

Write down the full hull variant, the slot label, the installed part and the seat that controls it. For a gun, trace the mount to its parent: a turret entry and a pilot gun are different jobs. A screenshot of someone else's variant is a lead.

  2. Compare two views

In Erkul’s loadout calculator, choose the same hull and slot. Look for the exact part or variant among the choices. Return to your equipment screen and check the item is selectable on that exact slot. If one view is silent, keep the answer open.

  3. Verify acquisition separately

Write “owned,” “shop lead,” or “still needed” beside each part. Check the correct named item, quantity, destination and amount on your own terminal. If you install it, reopen the loadout and check both the slot and the controlling seat before a sortie.

Worked example

The turret worked; the pilot slot is still unresolved

Suppose a crew member fires a replacement from their turret. That verifies one turret in one configuration. If your plan called for two pilot weapons, mark those two slots unchecked. Do not charge your shopping list for two more until you can select the part there.

Proceed or hold

Proceed when
The target slot accepts the exact part and the purchase or ownership check covers every copy you need.
Hold when
Only the size matches, the hull suffix differs, or only a different seat was shown working.
