Manual planning sheet

Can this cargo pay for the trip?

Compare two prices and see how much money stays exposed if the buyer takes less than your load. Start with your own numbers. All quantities use the same whole unit; all money uses the same currency.

Your trading limits
What you can verify

Leave a quantity blank if you do not know it. Enter zero only when you know there are no units to purchase or the buyer will take none. A general market estimate is not a confirmed order.

The decision

Enter your budget, free units and both prices to compare the trade.
How the worksheet handles an unsold load

The purchase ceiling is the smallest of your free space, what your budget buys and any seller quantity you entered. A known buyer limit lowers the planned sale, not the purchase ceiling. Units left unsold stay invested at the purchase price; their future sale is not counted. If you can choose how much to buy, limit your purchase to the planned sale.

Money made on the units sold equals the number sold times the difference between sale and purchase price. The sheet deducts a fixed trip cost only when you enter one. No taxes, waiting time or later sales are assumed.
